Education/Training: Rachel Hudson obtained her Bachelor’s in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany. She completed her graduate internship at Deaconess at Bethany Adult Mental Health Unit and completed a year-long course through the Oklahoma Society for Psychoanalytic Studies in the Foundations of Psychoanalytic Thought. Rachel is currently under supervision for LPC licensure and is supervised by Joe Shaleen, MA, LPC.

Philosophy: Rachel believes the key to lasting change lies in developing a deep understanding of an individual’s unique life experiences. Through understanding past and present dilemmas, we can make sense of obstacles to intimacy and happiness in the present. Rachel’s therapeutic approach seeks to promote growth in relationships, self esteem, and resiliency in the face of conflict and painful experience.

Rachel works with individual adults, adolescents (14+), and couples who struggle with depression, anxiety, life changes, relational difficulties, identity concerns, and loss.

Professional Experience: Rachel currently works as a therapist at The Grove Counseling & Psychotherapy and provides home-based therapy at Access to Counseling Services. She previously worked as an out-patient therapist providing individual and group therapy at Balance Women’s Health in Moore, OK. Rachel occasionally works as a graduate assistant at Southern Nazarene University in the Graduate Programs for Counseling Psychology.

Professional Memberships: Rachel is a member of the American Counseling Association and serves as the Vice Education Chair for the Oklahoma Society for Psychoanalytic Studies.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays. Flexible Hours; call to schedule an appointment.

Insurance and Fees: Rachel’s fee is $75 per 50 minute session. Rachel offers a sliding scale to accommodate a limited number of clients who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy. Please call or e-mail for information regarding appointment scheduling.
