Philosophy: Margaret’s focus is on creating a therapeutic relationship in which the client is able to speak of and look at any part of their lives in a psychologically and spiritually safe environment. She believes that a positive outcome of the counseling experience is dependent on the development of the relationship between client and counselor and the safety created in the counseling room as well as the care and respect the client experiences from the counselor.

Ten of those years she functioned as Executive Director while also seeing clients. She taught at LSUS and served on the committee to establish their Master’s in Counseling program. Beginning in 2003 she served as a counselor in the University Counseling Center at SNU. In 2005 she established her private practice. She is a founding partner of The Grove Counseling and Psychotherapy, LLC.
