About Joe Hall

Education: Joe received his B.A. in Theology from Southern Nazarene University; an M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and graduated with an M.A. in Marital and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. Joe is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#5554) in the State of Oklahoma.

Philosophy: Joe enjoys connecting with people wherever they may find themselves in life. Often this means helping people address conflicts they may be experiencing and attempting to make meaning of new self-awareness that may result. Joe attempts to provide a safe atmosphere that encourages clients to explore all facets of themselves in an effort to become more authentic and comfortable with who they are. A focus on the relationship between client and counselor will be crucial in helping clients grow toward their desired goals in therapy. Joe is willing to integrate faith issues into any treatment approach should the client desire this.

Professional Experience: Joe spent his entire candidacy working at Renew Counseling Center on the campus of Southern Nazarene University, as well as Access to Counseling Center, providing home-based therapy to individuals all over the Oklahoma City area. Prior to working in the field of psychotherapy, Joe worked as an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene and also spent time as a social worker in the Oklahoma City area.

Professional Interests: Joe works with people facing a variety of issues. He enjoys working with adults of all ages and has an interest in helping people deal with grief, transition, as well as concerns or fears people have as they become more aware of their own aging process. Joe enjoys working with the geriatric population, as well as with the family members of aging clients as the family experiences change in a variety of ways. Joe is also interested in helping people deal with the impact of depression and anxiety, as well as other problems they feel are contributing to a lack of peace and joy in life. Joe provides marriage and pre-marital counseling, as well.

Professional Associations: Joe is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Oklahoma Counseling Association. Joe is also an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene.

Office Hours: Mondays through Wednesday. Joe sees clients between 9am and 5pm. Please call or email to schedule an appointment.

Insurance and Fees: Joe’s standard rate is $100.00 per 55-minute individual therapy session. Joe is currently in network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Health Choice. If he is not able to accept your insurance, Joe is happy to provide you with documentation so that you may contact your insurance provider for reimbursement.
